about
The concept behind the Gone Missing remix was, in itself, a mix of several things. A dark tale of a missing person who has been kidnapped or on the run, a lighter tale of someone with amnesia that can’t put their finger on where they are and at the end find themselves in a café in Paris, and a tongue-in-cheek dream world where nothing makes sense and everything is slowly deteriorating including the music. I mixed in some scratching and fun vocal effects to help lead the listener on a journey very different from the original version of Wussy’s Gone Missing. This remix is complex and contains almost 50 samples/loops/or foley sounds. My favorite part of this remix is the brief 2 second sample taken from the 80’s video game, Joust, which adds to the sense of chaos. Listen close or you will miss it!

From the chord that rings out solemnly during the opening "One per Customer" through the hypnotic distortion of the finale "Black Hole," this is full of heart. Melodic, mature, and evocative. Joe de Larios
Thanks to George for including Teenage Wasteland in his 14th birthday compilation :-) It's been a while since that has been recorded, but that's timeless art ... Jo.Linn
